A partir du moment où on adopte la théorie de la naissance des étoiles par effondrement d’un nuage interstellaire, on recherche le lieu et le mode de formation de ce nuage. Mais si on adopte la théorie de l’autogenèse des étoiles, celles-ci se forment à la suite d’un mini big bang au sein de la substance de l’espace ; elles peuvent exister en tous lieux et même près d’un archaïque trou noir.
